Burwood Spring Market — Saturday 31 October
Spring finishes under the fig trees on Halloween weekend, with more than 40 stalls of boutique fashion, homewares, jewellery, handmade goods and food, plus live performances from local music and dance schools.
The Inner West turns out for this one. Chayuu Matcha is a Burwood business; Lumi Sweets sculpts its artisan mousse cakes in Strathfield; IVY HANDMADE runs a Croydon crochet studio doing custom pet and portrait commissions; and Your Collection Boutique brings its Majors Bay Road, Concord shopfront to the park for the day.
Eating: Korean-fusion burgers and kimchi-seasoned chips from Poket Burger, Greek souvlaki, cheese-wheel pasta, a live rocky road bar running Dubai pistachio and Biscoff, loaded brownies, single-serve tiramisu, and oil-free air-popped prawn crackers. Drinking: Blackwattle, Millsheds, Finders and Bondi Liquor Co, plus Champore’s all-Australian white wine seltzer.
For the kids: free puppet shows, giant bubbles, local dance acts on stage, and a petting farm.
