Stories Under the Stars

Come along to a family-friendly free event with an outdoor cinema, a glow-in-the-dark artwork installation, storytelling, markets, live music and more.

Brought to you by the City of Parramatta, listen, learn and participate in a beautiful evening by the Parramatta River as we celebrate First Nations art, language and culture.

There will be plenty of activities, workshops and give aways including:

  • Outdoor Cinema presented by Optus.
  • 500 native plant give ways from City of Parramatta Council.
  • Yilabara Path Laneway phosphorescent mural.
  • Meet Mahalia Murphy from the Parramatta Eels.
  • Live music by First Nations Artists.
  • Learn nursery songs in Dharug with Merrilee McNaught.
  • Jannawi Dance Clan’s Indigenous dance workshops and Indigenous facepainting for kids.
  • Basket weaving workshops.
  • Bush to Bowl’s cooking demo & “Bush Tucker” talk.
  • Uncle Chris Tobin’s (Dharug Elder) yarn and Q&A on “How humans lived”.
  • Look out for some Parramatta Eels players.
