Open Day: Western Sydney Records Centre

Join Museums of History NSW for their Open Day celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Western Sydney Records Centre in Kingswood, home to the vast State Archives Collection – the largest collection of records documenting the history of NSW and the lives of its people. Go behind-the scenes and enjoy a family-friendly day out with drop-in tours, history and heritage talks, family history stalls, craft activities for kids, lawn games and delicious food.

On the day, get hands-on and make your own temporary mosaic artwork led by Penrith Regional Gallery or celebrate by making your own bunting to decorate colourful cardboard birthday cakes.

Grab something tasty from food vendors, Pocket Rocketz, Brew Times Coffee and Mapo Gelato serving delicious treats, available for purchase throughout the day. Or bring a picnic and a picnic blanket and enjoy lunch on the lawn.

Date: Saturday 22 November. Time: 10am–4pm Location: Western Sydney Records Centre, 161 O’Connell Street, Kingswood Free event – register now for event updates https://mhnsw.au/whats-on/events/open-day-western-sydney-records-centre/
