VENUE MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Department: Marketing & Activations

Venues: Bella Vista Hotel, Hudson Hotel & Mullane’s Hotel

Reports To: Area Manager

Role Purpose: The Venue Marketing Executive is a hands-on role with flexible hours available, suited to a proactive and creative marketer who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsible for supporting Hudson Hotel, Bella Vista Hotel and Mullane’s Hotel, this role is highly visible within the venues and involves creating content, promoting events, supporting activations and working closely with operational teams to drive results. Partnering directly with the Area Manager and Venue General Managers, the Venue Marketing Executive will identify opportunities, execute campaigns and ensure each venue’s marketing activity is engaging, relevant and commercially focused.

FUNCTIONAL ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Venue Presence

  • Be actively present across venues to identify content opportunities, capture venue activity and support key campaigns.
  • Attend events, activations and major trading periods to create real-time content and ensure marketing execution aligns with the guest experience.
  • Build strong relationships with venue teams to understand operational priorities and translate them into effective marketing activity.
  • Act as the day-to-day marketing representative within the venues.

Social Media, Design & Content

  • Own the planning and execution of organic social content calendars for multiple venues.
  • Produce high-quality content (photo, video, copy) tailored to each platform.
  • Manage social media community engagement (comments, DMs, shares) in a brand-aligned tone.
  • Analyse social performance weekly and recommend optimisations based on data.
  • Utilise AI-powered tools to enhance content creation, copywriting, image generation, design development and workflow efficiencies.
  • Produce marketing assets using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and emerging AI design platforms.

Digital Campaigns

  • Design and schedule email marketing campaigns (EDMs), ensuring effective copy, design, and targeting.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.

Website and SEO

  • Maintain venue websites, ensuring content, event listings, offers and imagery remain current and accurate.
  • Coordinate updates with external suppliers where required.
  • Monitor website performance and identify opportunities to improve user experience and conversions.

In-Venue Marketing

  • Lead venue audits to ensure all marketing collateral is up-to-date and consistent.
  • Manage in-venue campaign roll-outs.
  • Support event team by creating promotional assets and ensuring campaigns run seamlessly pre, during, and post-event.
  • Update Membership Loyalty program with content relevant to members.

Event & Campaign Support

  • Take responsibility for end-to-end promotional event marketing (planning, execution, reporting).
  • Collaborate with Area Manager, suppliers and partners (e.g. beverage brands) to deliver co-branded campaigns.
  • Prepare post-event reports with insights and recommendations for future events.
  • Work with content creators and community partners to drive awareness of the venues.

Reporting & Insights

  • Track performance across channels (social, EDMs, events) and deliver regular reports (monthly).
  • Provide recommendations to optimise campaigns and improve ROI.
  • Present insights to the Area Manager and Venue General Manager to influence strategic decisions (eg from customer surveys and other channels).

  • Consistent delivery of venue marketing plans and campaign calendars.
  • Growth in social media engagement and audience reach.
  • Increased attendance at key events and promotions.
  • Growth in database engagement and EDM performance.
  • Strong relationships with venue teams and operational stakeholders.
  • Timely execution of campaigns and projects.
  • Positive contribution to venue revenue and customer acquisition initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality, entertainment, lifestyle or venue marketing. Experience in marketing restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels or events will be highly regarded.
  • Solid knowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing, and community management.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects.
  • Organised and efficient, able to juggle multiple campaigns.
  • Positive, energetic and solutions-focused.
  • Comfortable analysing results and using insights to improve performance.
  • Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) is an advantage.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do approach.
  • Happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved wherever required.
