Hi, I’m Carolaine and I’m a mum living in Western Sydney. I’ve lived in Mount Druitt for most of my life, and I know all too well the stigma that’s associated with living in the West.
As a mum raising two kids in Western Sydney, I want to show you what it’s really like to live in the West. There’s so many fun and exciting places to experience that are great for kids and the whole family!
I launched Western Sydney Mums (WSM) in 2019 with a goal in mind to change the stereotype by showcasing and promoting local businesses and services. I love connecting with businesses, I love helping mums and I love making an impact on the lives of people who call Western Sydney home.
Fast forward to 2023, and WSM is exponentially growing into a vibrant and active community across social media consisting of:
- More than 41k followers on Facebook, and 34k in our private WSM Facebook Group, with 93 per cent of our audience female.
- 49k followers on Instagram, 15k followers on Tik-Tok & 8900 newsletter subscribers.
- On average our posts on Facebook reach an average of 252k+ more people.
- Our audience on Instagram has 62k+ followers with posts reaching more than 301K people a month, and 83 percent of that audience is in Sydney.
- Our Tiktok community is also growing with over 22k followers and posts reach a minimum of 166k people a month.
- A fortnightly e-newsletter is sent to our 8900 subscribers
WSM is your go-to guide for all things in the west, from the latest news on restaurants and cafes, upcoming events and playgrounds to providing a directory for jobs and small businesses. WSM also provides support to women and mums through a page dedicated to support services, information and resources.
Western Sydney is growing so much. I’m so proud to live here and support the amazing things to do, see and explore, so let’s connect and share in the great things that the West has to offer.
