CATS The Musical
On 27 July 1985, a ground-breaking musical production had its Australian Premiere at Theatre Royal Sydney, heralding an era of the British “mega-musical” in Australia. Now, 40 years later, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical CATS returns for an Australian tour to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The new production will open at its original theatre, Theatre Royal Sydney from 17 June, before playing at Her Majesty’s Theatre Adelaide from September, Crown Theatre Perth from November and at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne from December.
