Powerhouse Parramatta Opening Exhibition Callout
Powerhouse Parramatta is opening in 2026 and inviting local kids to be part of this historic moment by submitting an object and story for the chance to be featured in The Dark, one of the museum’s major opening exhibitions.
Powerhouse is seeking 100 Western Sydney children, and your kids can enter by choosing an object they love, taking a photo with it, and sharing why it’s meaningful through a short story or drawing.
Selected children will have their object and story displayed in The Dark exhibition for three years, becoming part of a major cultural moment for Western Sydney. Selected participants will also be among the first people to experience Powerhouse Parramatta when it opens.
This opportunity is open to children aged 4–12 living in eligible Western Sydney LGAs.
