Arts Alive Festival

October 11, 2025… it’s coming! Picton will come to life for the brand new Arts Alive Festival.

Imagine vibrant live performances, creative workshops, dazzling light displays, carnival rides, roving artists, music filling the air with an outstanding line up on our main entertainment stage, plus market stalls and delicious food trucks! Not to mention an amazing fireworks display!

One unforgettable day, one incredible celebration of – creativity!

In more detail the event will include:

  • An amazing range of musical performances on our main street entertainment stage
  • Amazing & colourful and roving performances, as well as pop up performances and interactions throughout the festival
  • The Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre, which will also present free performances of the theatre production ‘The Gardener’s Apprentice.’
  • The festival will also provide an array of free, inclusive and accessible activities to all people and age groups, including Interactive workshops, an Aboriginal weaving workshop, Aboriginal dance and music, Japanese drumming and craft activities.
  • Artisan markets, & an Art Exhibition by Wollondilly Arts Group
  • A Thrilling Family Carnival in Mary Mackillop Lane (if more of the exact details around the carnival would be of benefit please let me know).
  • Market Stalls & Food zone
  • Captivating & Immersive Art Experiences
  • Magical Sensory Escape Space  
  • Interactive activations and artwork
  • Dazzling Fireworks Display @ 9pm
  • The normally busy Menangle Street and Mary McKillop Lane in Picton will be temporarily closed to make a pedestrian safe area for the street party, with local businesses invited to extend their opening hours.
