Spooky season is almost here, and Western Sydney’s got plenty going on for families! Whether your kids are into costumes, crafts, or just free lollies, here’s what’s happening near you this Halloween.

What it is: Costumes, dancing, treats. Kids (3–12 yrs) pay ~$10. Adults and kids under 2 free.

What it is: A relaxed family movie night under the stars as part of the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost. It’s a silent cinema experience — each guest gets their own headphones — with a mix of family favourites and feel-good films.

What it is: A guided night walk through Parramatta Park after dark, with spotlight prowl, nocturnal wildlife encounters, bat flight, and a craft session to start. For kids aged 5+ (with an adult).

What it is: A fun and friendly community Halloween celebration with free kids’ face painting in the food court — perfect to do before dinner or trick-or-treating — plus a themed trivia night the following week for parents, families, and locals. Costumes encouraged and prizes up for grabs.

What it is: A long-running community festival built around the legend of Fred Fisher. Expect carnival rides, twilight fairs, markets, live music, art exhibitions, kids’ activities, and fireworks.

What it is: “Hole-o-ween” mini-golf course + 30 minutes of arcade fun. Dress up encouraged, and there’s a prize for best costume.

What it is: A free afternoon of family fun where kids can get their spooky faces painted, then hit the Halloween disco upstairs for dancing, music, and prizes. It’s all indoors, so rain or shine, the fun’s on.
