St Marys Central Park
A brand‑new Central Park is on its way for St Marys families! With Penrith City Council placing the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the project on public exhibition.
Planned as the “green heart of St Marys,” this new community space will bring more life to the Town Centre, connecting Queen Street with local shopping, facilities, and transport. For Western Sydney families, it’s set to become a go‑to destination for play, relaxation, and community events.
What’s Coming to St Marys Central Park?
The park has been designed as a community hub that everyone can enjoy. Families can look forward to:
- Expansive green lawns for picnics and play
- A large entertainment canopy for concerts, movie nights, and events
- A children’s playspace with water play, perfect for summer days
- New amenities for comfort and convenience
- Paths and open areas connecting the park to shops and local facilities
Mayor Todd Carney said the project is another exciting step towards creating a vibrant and modern Town Centre. “This park is going to become a community hub with lots of green space, an entertainment canopy for events, children’s play space with water play, amenities and a whole lot more,” he said.
How the Project is Funded
The St Marys Central Park project is being delivered by Penrith City Council with support from the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.

The public exhibition period is now open for 28 days, from Thursday 24 July 2025 until 11.59pm on Wednesday 20 August 2025. This is the community’s chance to learn more about the plans, review potential environmental impacts, and share feedback.
