Nominations are now open for Blacktown City’s Woman of the Year 2026
International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women’s achievements and a reminder of the importance of equality everywhere.
To mark the day, Blacktown City Council is recognising the incredible women making a difference across our local community through voluntary or paid work.
This year’s theme, #GiveToGain, celebrates women who have:
- made outstanding contributions to her local community
- inspired others to get involved and give back
- created lasting change through kindness, advocacy, or service
- risen above adversity to achieve her goals and support others along the way
- demonstrated strong, progressive leadership
- led through innovation, creativity, and community action.
