Big things are happening at the Mount Druitt Aquatic Centre! Our favourite local pool is getting a major upgrade to become a modern, family-friendly space that everyone can enjoy all year round.
Swim All Year, Rain or Shine
Currently open just half the year, the new and improved centre will be open 12 months a year, making it the perfect go-to spot no matter the season. With a refurbished indoor pool area, families can enjoy swimming lessons, lap swims, and water play no matter what the weather.
What Families Can Look Forward To
Here’s what the upgrade will bring:
- A brand new indoor aquatic space, including a fully enclosed 25-metre program pool – great for swim lessons and casual swims.
- Inclusive change rooms and amenities designed with families and people of all abilities in mind.
- Fun waterplay and splashpad areas perfect for little ones to cool off and play safely.
- Multi-use community rooms – ideal for birthday parties, family events, or community gatherings, with catering options available.
- A family-friendly kiosk offering refreshments and snacks to keep everyone energized.
- Beautiful landscaping, more seating, and shaded areas, so parents can relax while the kids enjoy the water.
- Better pedestrian access – the new design opens up more green space and makes it easier to walk between the pool and the rest of Mount Druitt Town Centre.
