Spring school holidays at Oran park hotel
Spring School Holidays at Oran Park Hotel: Free Movies, Pizza Making and $10 Kids Meals
Need something to fill the spring school holidays? Oran Park Hotel has a program running from 30 September to 9 October. It includes kids’ workshops, two free movie days and $10 kids meals. Here’s the full run-down.
Wed 30 Sept: Pizza Making Workshop
Kids roll, top and build their own pizza. It’s $15 per child, with sessions at 11am and 1pm.
Fri 2 Oct: Kids Movie Day (free)
The Wild Robot and The Bee Movie are on the screen. Sessions run at 11am, 2pm and 5pm, and tickets are free.
Mon 5 Oct: Glass and Brush Painting Workshop
Little artists get to paint on glass and take their work home. It’s $25 per child, with sessions at 11am and 12:30pm. Heads up, this one falls on the Labour Day public holiday, so it’s a good option if you have the day off.
Wed 7 Oct: Cake Decorating Workshop
Icing, sprinkles and a very proud kid at the end. It’s $20 per child, with sessions at 11am and 1pm.
Fri 9 Oct: Kids Movie Day (free)
How To Train Your Dragon (2025) and Chicken Run are on the program. Sessions are at 11am, 2pm and 5pm, and tickets are free again.

Spring into Adventure at Hunter Valley Gardens
Make the most of the school holidays with a spring adventure at Hunter Valley Gardens from 26 September to 11 October 2026.
Explore ten themed gardens bursting into life and discover a colourful program of family-friendly activities, hands-on experiences and seasonal attractions. Step into the Butterfly House, meet adorable baby lambs, make daisy chains, get creative with face and wood painting, and discover the fascinating world of bees. There’s plenty for curious minds too, with bonsai displays and workshops, koi feeding talks, cultural experiences and guided tours throughout the Gardens. Season Squad The Musical is Coming to Penrith — A New Family Show for the Spring School Holidays
If you’re planning the October school holidays in Western Sydney and looking for something a little different, Season Squad The Musical is worth locking in. This brand-new Australian children’s musical is playing two performances at The Joan, Penrith, and it’s tailor-made for families with young kids.
Season Squad follows four best friends — Chill, Sunny, Blaze and Bloom — who each embody a season of the year, living together in the fictional town of Calendar Grove. Through original pop songs and plenty of humour, the show explores friendship, belonging and what makes each of us a little different (and why that’s a good thing).
The show’s original music comes from an Emmy-nominated songwriting team with credits on Descendants, ZOMBIES and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, giving Season Squad a polished, professional pop sound that’s rare for a brand-new Australian children’s production. Add colourful character design and some high energy dancing, and you’ve got a genuinely enjoyable outing.

Monster Jump is heading to the Hawkesbury for the first time this September school holidays, and it’s bringing Australia’s newest inflatable obstacle course with it.
