Sophie’s Slime Factory
Sophie’s Slime Factory began in 2017 when founder Sophie started selling handmade slime to friends and on Etsy. What started as a small passion project quickly gained traction, leading Sophie, her sister, and their mum to begin offering mobile slime parties across Sydney. For six years, they travelled extensively, delivering creative and engaging experiences for children at birthday parties and events.
In November 2023, the team opened their first dedicated premises in Rouse Hill, allowing them to host slime parties and drop-in sessions in a space designed for hands-on fun. As demand continued to grow, they soon outgrew the venue and relocated to a larger, purpose-built facility in Castle Hill in March 2025. The move marked an important step forward, providing more space, improved amenities, and the capacity to expand their services.
Now employing a team of 15 dedicated staff, Sophie’s Slime Factory has developed a strong reputation for quality, creativity, and inclusivity. The team recently hosted a party for a group of deaf children — a rewarding experience that highlighted their commitment to making every child feel welcomed and included.
The business has also expanded its offerings to include corporate events, further broadening its reach. With a focus on continuous improvement and community connection, Sophie’s Slime Factory is proud of its journey so far and looks forward to what the future holds.
Sophie’s long-term vision is to bring the joy of slime to people of all ages and abilities. She is passionate about creating spaces where creativity, fun, and inclusivity come together — whether it’s a child’s birthday, a school excursion, or a team-building event. Looking ahead, Sophie hopes to expand the brand by opening more slime factories across Australia, making hands-on, sensory-based fun accessible to even more communities.
