Real Festival 2026 Is Coming to Penrith
Mark your calendar, Western Sydney. Real Festival is back at Tench Reserve and this year the theme is “Take Flight”.
If you haven’t been before, Real Festival is Penrith’s flagship event and one of the biggest free-entry weekends in Western Sydney. Last year over 50,000 people turned up across three days. This year council is promising an even bigger program of illuminated art, live performances, hands-on workshops and riverside food.
what’s real festival?
Real Festival transforms Tench Reserve, on the banks of the Nepean River, into a glowing, immersive playground for three days every September. By day it’s workshops, market stalls and on-water fun. By night the whole riverbank lights up with large-scale art installations and live entertainment.
Council has confirmed the 2026 program will lean into the “Take Flight” theme with new performances, art and installations designed to surprise and inspire, full program details are still being released in the lead-up.
